Despite scientific progress documenting tobacco-related health disparities, many questions remain about how and why tobacco use and tobacco-related disease are clustered within and across some population groups. These gaps in knowledge led the National Cancer Institute and the American Legacy Foundation to create TReND, which is a network that includes researchers from a wide range of academic disciplines.
